Short-Circuit Withstand Test — 10 MVA

Short-circuit withstand is the one performance characteristic a transformer cannot demonstrate in service — it is proven once, on a test bench, under fault current. This certificate documents a successful short-circuit withstand test on a DATSAN 10 MVA oil-immersed transformer, carried out to IEC 60076-5 at an independent test laboratory.

The test verifies that the winding and clamping structure withstand the electromagnetic forces of a full short circuit without permanent deformation, and that reactance and dielectric performance remain within tolerance after the event.
